Henrik Lindström (CTO)

Dr. Lindström has 17 years of research experience in the solar energy sector and holds 2 patents in the field of dye-sensitized solar cells. He was responsible for building a pilot-line for continuous production of dye-sensitized solar cells, based on his 2 patents, in Anders Hagfeldts group at Uppsala University. He also has several granted patents on nanochromic displays. The world record holder for efficiency of 10 cm x 10 cm dye-sensitized solar cells, Professor Arakawa from Tokyo University of Science, is using the compression method as developed and patented by Dr. Lindström. Dr. Lindström is responsible for device development and production integration at NLAB Solar.

Hernán Míguez (Head of R&D)

Dr. Míguez heads the research group which is pioneering the development of novel porous photonic crystals based on nanoparticles and other mesostructured materials for applications in the solar cell industry. He holds a permanent position as a researcher at the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). He is also an Honorary Professor of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Míguez has over 90 publications in journals recognized by the ISI and has received more than 3000 citations (Source : ISI, March 2009). He is also the inventor of numerous patents, many of them already transferred to technology based companies. Among other achievements, Dr. Míguez first proposed and pioneered the integration of porous Bragg stacks in solar cells, as well as realized the first thorough theoretical description of the effect of photonic crystals on dye-sensitized solar cells.
